Predicting starters in weekly rosters

Postby IdiotBoy » Fri Apr 10, 2009 10:05 am

Stupid Yahoo defaulted my H2H league to weekly (Monday) roster changes, and I've always done it daily.

So, anyone with experience with weekly roster setups, how do you plan out your week with starting pitchers (given there are no maximum innings/games in this league)?

I know prediction isn't an exact science and will probably be more miss than hit, but some of you guys must have some best practices when choosing your weekly lineup. I'm assuming "every fifth game" is a good starting point, and maybe giving your best ace a 3-day grace period to ensure he actually makes his start. What have you guys found to be the most successful strategy?
