Who is the better Catcher to play, since I have Weiters on the Bench? I have Kelly Shoppach now, thinking about picking up Brandon Inge since he has homered in the 1st three games of the season and plays significantly better when he is playing at 3B. Playing time should be taken into account. Thanks!

I agree with Amazinz.
Inge is eye candy now because he is hot. But it is only the first week and I think Shoppach will be the better catcher and more consistent over the course of the season. Shoppach will be good to start until Weiters comes up.
Please help me..

Inge is hot. Has been talk that he can put a really good season up because he is not catching.
I would go with him

Inge. It's not like Shopppach was ever that talented, he whiffs too much. Go with the hot hand.

If you thought Inge whiffing 97 times in 330 ab's was bad, Shoppach whiffed 135 times in the same amount. I'd go with Inge to hold down the fort until Weiters comes along. Actually, is AJP available? I don't honestly like either of them.

Definately think Inge will be better for the year. Even if they put up numbers at comparable rates, the added plate appearances from Inge should translate to better year-end numbers. However, don't go nuts thinking you've got yourself a top 5 catcher or anything!

Hey Guys thanks for all the help. Unfortunately somebody grabbed Inge 2 hours after I posted this topic. So hopefully Shoppach will do me good for now.
And to THE WRIGHTSTUFF, no AJP is not available.
Thanks again!
