Hey hows it going, trying for the past few days to get someone to trade me a good 1b or 3b but having no luck. Please help me out and tell me some trade combos that can possibly work, willing to give up 2-3 guys for a 1b/3b since i have so many of's and ss. Thank you. My team is.
Catcher Victor Martinez 1b Aubrey Huff/casey kotchman 2b Ian Kinsler/dan uggla 3b Ryan Zimmerman SS Rafael Furcal /J.J. Hardy/Jhonny Peralta
OF Grady Sizemore,Josh Hamilton,B.J. Upton,Carlos Quentin,,Milton Bradley,Shin-Soo Choo,Shane Victorino
Try to package B.J. Upton with Uggla or Hardy to someone who is weak at the MI spot. Hype his steals potential and target a #2 pitcher like Haren,Liriano,Grienke,Shields, or Rich Harden.
the problem with a 1:2 or a 1:3 trade is that the other team has to drop one or two players. I find that trades of equal proportion always work best.
I'm not sure you need another 1b or 3b. I think you could use an ace starter or another reliever more than an upgrade at the corners. Huff should be good in a contract year (he was never really bad at all) and Zim should be serviceable.
you have a wealth of shortstops and outflielders. Victorino, QUentin, and Upton could all net you a decent return. Maybe not so much Upton... he's slated to be a second half player this year.
If you want to pull off a 3 for 1....just try to identify the weakest guy on his team - the guy he'd be likeliest to drop, and include him in the offer (for you to just drop later if he's useless to you.) I find this not only increases the likelyhood of pulling off a deal, but actually has a psychological effect of making them think they are getting a better deal then they are....guys often try to make 1 for 1 comparisons, line by line, in muli-player swaps.....or atleast thats been my experience.
How come i don't need a 1b/3b , casey kotchman is worthless and is taking up a starting spot lol. Thanks, do you think it's worth giving up a top of/jj hardy or peralta and giving him kotchman to fill in the 1b/3b. I don't know what to do tbh.
