I guess it's easy to be "relatively pleased" and maybe I'm expecting too much considering it is his first major league start since August, but he has always been prone to giving up the HR which comes from leaving the ball up in the zone, which was the direct cause of both the HRs he has allowed tonight.
I think you are expecting too much. He's always been prone to the long ball, so I see no reason why that still wouldn't be the case. He seems to have his velocity back, seems to have decent confidence and plus command tonight. So far so good.

Maine settled down really nicely. I am very happy with how he pitched. I was a little quick to criticize after he threw those two meatballs, but I am very pleased with how he settled in and cruised. 5 K/1 BB is encouraging
