It is not worth dropping somebody unless you have a replacement in mind. He has been terrible his first two appearances so it is obviously going to take some time for him to get back into the swing of things and even longer for him to possibly regain the closer role. It shouldn't be that hard to find a better option right now.
im wondering the same thing. as said above, it depends on who you can pick up in his place. he will still very likely take over for sherrill as closer, but nothing is for certain in fantasy baseball. but will it be june now instead of may. maybe. i generally dont like to waste spot on speculative closers, especially when they are pitching like shit. im on the fence on this one.
ive got him in a holds league, so he has more value there even if he's not closing; but still most of his value is tied to potential saves. guess im gonna hold on to him, pretty deep league as far as relievers go. i just really hope he settles down and sherrill flares up.
On Sunday if you'd dumped him, somebody else probably would have snapped him up. Today, there's a decent chance he will sit on the FA list for a while. Just waiting for you. I'll drop him without hesitation now when I need that roster spot for something else.
