He had a pretty bad average last year, but a lot of projections have him coming back up to .300 while increasing the power. Will it happen?

He had a slightly better average the second half of last year with a nice increase in power. The prevailing thought is that pitchers adjusted to him first half and he adjusted to them the second half. I think .300 is a little high for him right now maybe .280~.290 is more realistic but I think his power is in the 25~30HR range with a lot of doubles. His SB% is just not very good so I could see that tailing off. Other than that he needs more consistency to secure a better position in the lineup where his RBI and R totals can increase. The jury is still out but best guess:

I have Pence, so I like him to threaten 30 HR, but I only expect him to hit around .275 - .285 at the highest

I think I need a better SS, but who should I trade to get the SS. And which one should I target?

Find someone with a need for a decent outfielder....package aviles and one of your OFs to try to upgrade at short, I guess. Best bet is to find someone with a second SS better then aviles....not many would dowgrade at short for an OF'er.
