I finally gave in and picked him up in my 10-team league. The K rate is a big surprise to me

Fausto Carmona is about to bwe dropped so as I scan the WW there is Carl with his 5 wins in his last 6 starts.
These are his numbers minus start #1 where he gave up 9 runs in an inning -
5-3 4.28 ERA and a WHIP of 1.28
I am grabbing him.
My Friendliness bar...recently shrunk from 11.3 to 10mm long!!

Another quality start today. Anybody think he'll be a top 40 SP for the rest of the year?

I sat him in favor of Marshall in his last start.
His FIP this year is only 3.78, and he's been pretty unlucky with a .341 BABIP and 65.3 LOB%. You probably won't be able to sell him for anything but he's a must have if you're short-staffed.

Rocinante2: you know

That's such a bitter taste in your mouth, isn't it?

damn, thats 7 quality starts and 6 wins in his past 9 outings. Looks like he's making a push for comeback player of the year.
