Please Rate My Team (Yahoo, 10 team, H2H)

Hello everyone,

I recently did a Fantasy Baseball draft for the first time in a few years, and was wondering what some more experienced people think of the way my team currently stands.

I am a member of a 10 team Yahoo H2H league. Scoring is based upon:

R, HR's, RBI's, Avg, SB, OPS, Wins, Saves, K's, HLD, ERA, WHIP

My team currently looks like this:

Batting Lineup

C - Geovany Soto
1B - Carlos Pena
2B - Emilio Bonifacio (Yes, bought into the hype after first two days)
3B - Adrian Beltre
SS - Hanley Ramirez
OF - Carlos Lee
OF - Hunter Pence
OF - Nick Markakis
UTIL - Jim Thome
BN - Milton Bradley
BN - Alexei Ramirez
BN - Jay Bruce

Starting Pitchers:

Johan Santana
Dan Haren
Francisco Liriano
Scott Baker
Chris Volstad
Gil Meche
Clayton Kershaw

Relief Pitchers:

Bobby Jenks
Kerry Wood
Huston Street

I am obviously missing out on the HLD category, but I am curious to see what everybody else thinks I should improve. I don't feel very comfortable with Pena at first or with Beltre at third, but I will have to wait and see what happens.

Well you got to be weak somewhere but you team is very strong otherwise, you might have some nice trade bait if Bruce, Bradley and A. Ramirez get off to good starts

C - Geovany Soto- Not really sold on him as the next Piazza but .280 20hrs still good
1B - Carlos Pena- BA drag but good power
2B - Emilio Bonifacio- make sure to bench when slows down
3B - Adrian Beltre- decent pick here
SS - Hanley Ramirez- doesn't get better than that
OF - Carlos Lee-
OF - Hunter Pence-
OF - Nick Markakis-
UTIL - Jim Thome- same as Pena
BN - Milton Bradley- hopefully he could stay healthy
BN - Alexei Ramirez- great vers. starting in most leagues, but doesn't walk and has poor OBP batting .260 is a reach
BN - Jay Bruce- great power will he hit above .260 in that weak lineup

Starting Pitchers:

Johan Santana-
Dan Haren- great innings eater
Francisco Liriano- potential CY winner this year
Scott Baker-
Chris Volstad- sleeper
Gil Meche-
Clayton Kershaw- sleeper

Relief Pitchers:

Bobby Jenks-
Kerry Wood-
Huston Street-


Offense- well pretty good power/speed options but between Pena/Thome/Bruce/Ramirez you will never win in BA, Pena and Thome will probably be similar, but Pena will play more, would look to drop Thome for a better 1B option, or maybe move one of your SP for Loney (will shore up BA, and has some pop)

Piching- SP is awesome, RP is only good, Street is a weak link, especially in Colorado, in a 10 teamer Heath Bell or Chad Qualls should be available and would be safer than Street
