So, I got stuck with Cliff Lee this year and, as I feel his value is plummeting as we speak, I would like to be able to trade him A.S.A.P. Here is my current roster...
C: Mike Napoli
1B: Justin Morneau
2B: Chone Figgins
SS: J.J. Hardy
3B: Edwin Encarnacion
CI: Jason Giambi
MI: Ryan Theriot
LF: Manny Ramirez
CF: Rick Ankiel
RF: Brad Hawpe
OF: Matt Holliday
UTL: Raul Ibanez
BN: Dioner Navarro, Jason Giambi, Casey Blake, Jack Cust, Ken Griffey, Jr., Troy Glaus
SP: Johan Santana, Cole Hamels, Cliff Lee, James Shields, Scott Kazmir, Hiroki Kuroda
RP: Brad Lidge, Kevin Gregg, J.J. Putz
BN: Hong-Chih Kuo, Takashi Saito
My goal was to grab yet another stud to go along with my rotation and I thought I'd shoot for C.C. Am I being too anal on my starting pitching (given that I have at least a couple of legitimate studs in Johan and Hamels) and should focus on another bat, or is it reasonable to shoot for another great starting pitcher?
But most importantly, is this a fair offer? If not, relative to my roster, what is a fair offer to go after C.C. or someone of his ilk?
Thoughts on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
