Waiver for Wieters...but who to drop?

Postby Triplec223 » Wed Apr 08, 2009 7:10 pm

Somebody dropped Wieters in my 12-team league and I've got a #4 waiver claim in for him, which will be processed tomorrow. I am not guaranteed to get him, but have a pretty good shot since the guy that dropped him has the #2 claim.

Anyway, I am not sure who I should drop to get him. My first thought was Spillborghs since I'm carrying 6 OF in a 3-OF league (+1 UTIL), but then he went 2-for-5 today with an RBI and a run. Then I thought about dropping Maholm, but I can't seem to pull the trigger.

My roster is below - any thoughts?

12-team Redraft League
O Cats: Avg, R, HR, RBI, SB, OPS
P Cats: ERA, W, K, WHIP, SV, K-BB

My Team:
C: Chris Ianetta
1B: Lance Berkman
2B: Ian Kinsler
3B: Garrett Atkins / Alex Rodriguez
SS: Jhonny Peralta
OF: Matt Kemp
OF: Bobby Abreu
OF: Adam Jones
Util: Nelson Cruz (OF)
BN: Jordan Schafer
BN: Ryan Spillborghs
DL: Alex Rodriguez

SP: Francisco Liriano
SP: James Shields
RP: Joakim Soria
RP: Frank Francisco
P: Brad Ziegler
P: Jason Motte
P: Ricky Nolasco
BN: Paul Maholm
BN: Chris Carpenter
BN: John Danks

I'd drop one of Spills/Schafer.

Schafer. Spils plays in Coors which gives him the edge over Schafer.
