Anyone know why Helton is out of the lineup today?

Get used to it. He's recovering from back surgery so he will get regular days off. 1 or 2 a week I'd imagine, especially early in the season

Exactly as Merlin said - day games after night games will be the main time he sits I think.

Not to mention that Ian Stewart needs to get some regular AB's too, sometimes it'll be at 3B when Atkins plays 1st in Helton's place and other times Stewart will play at 2B. Maybe even some in the OF as well, he's a good ballplayer that needs to play. So Helton will sit from time to time to accomodate that.
