This is the last time i draft pitchers early... went for liriano and webb fairly early now my hitting is suffering some and the 3 pitchers i drafted later (Johnson, Harang, and Bedard) are carrying my pitching. Moral of the story hitting >>>> pitching since u can get gems later on.

I'm sure everyone heard this yesterday, but there it is just to make sure:

According to the Arizona Republic, Brandon Webb "will miss at least six more weeks with a strain in his right shoulder."

Webb will be completely shut down for three weeks, but will then need to build back his arm strength. "It's frustrating because what I feel right now," Webb said. "I feel fine. Just when I throw is when I get the pain, so hopefully we'll just give it a little more time to heal, and we'll be ready to go in a few more weeks. It's gonna take a little while to get back, pitch count, strength-wise, to get where I need to be." Yusmeiro Petit will continue to replace Webb in the rotation.

Webb (shoulder) is building up enough strength to play long toss, the Arizona Republic reports.

Recommendation: The progression from there is going to be similar to spring training, so it'd hardly be surprising if Webb needs an entire month of minor league rehab assignments to build up endurance and get stretched out enough to return to the Arizona rotation. June has been the rolling date for his expected return, but something closer to the All-Star break may be a more accurate expectation.
