Coffey sure looked good. Got his ground balls, nice K with the slider. Velocity seemed up, FSN was flashing 95-96 on his fastball.

Now can Villy close it out...I'm nervous, he had an up-and-down spring.

Hopefully Vill rewards me for picking him up as a 4th closer in a bunch of leagues (and doesn't punish me!)

Overall, I'm satisfied with the Giants thus far. If it wasn't for bad managing and a hanger to Gallardo, then we'd be looking at a sweep tomorrow.

Alright, nice work. Villy looked good, nice mix of pitches, threw strikes. Doesn't have typical closer stuff, but throws an acceptable fastball with a nice curveball/slider/changeup mix.

Also, Villy closing out the Giants reminds me of one of Sabean's poor moves...trading Villy and Glenn Woolard for Wayne Franklin and Leo Estrella.
