This is not a bad team as is. Here are a few thoughts:
3B: Could be very solid, could be a major bust. The talent is there, but circumstances keep getting in the way. An upgrade to a more steady producer here certainly wouldn't hurt.
SP: Your strongest position, IMO. Sabathia and Webb should both be Cy Young candidates once again. Gallardo has no lingering injury concerns, and should be solid. And I like Chris Young to put together a solid season.
RP: A bit thin here. Street is not a shoe-in to keep his CL job. And despite Jenks's continued solid SV numbers, IMO he's a bust candidate this year. His velocity has been on a steady decline, reflected in his dramatic drop in K's (80 in 2006, 56 in 2007, 38 in 2008). With those numbers, he can no longer be considered a power closer (lowest K/9 rate of any CL with 20 or more saves last year). If there is a shift in his ground ball rates, the fact that he's not missing bats via the K is a huge concern. If that happens, expect a dramatic increase in his ERA and WHIP. All that being said, he continued to put up good numbers last year despite slipping peripherals. This leaves Gonzalez, who is dominant, but an obvious injury risk.
I would think about dropping/trading Posada. If you can get value for him (unlikely with last years injury concerns), go for a trade. With only one C starting in your league, carrying a 2nd C behind McCann may be a bit redundant, considering that McCann played in 145 games last year. Your bench spot might be more valuable if used on another position. I would probably nab a closer (if any available) or a closer in waiting.
Good luck!
