Ok just wasted my 1000th post on a damn Tiger so i had to make well with a cubbie haha!... but yes im also hearing out til at least weekend series ... also from Lou it wasn't getting hit by a pitch quote from from (off of CBS news) " He threw a ball to 2nd base in an awkward position, and he felt a strain." Not good, not good at all... and you know the Cubs will play this VERY safe as they don't want to push and mess something bigger up... we all saw how bad shoulder injuries kill a catcher last year in Posada (not saying its that bad but..) ... i say weekend series at the EARLIEST will we see Soto, he said he feels he can avoid a DL stint as long as he keeps up the shoulder exercises... so no where NEAR out of the woods on this one yet, but i don't forsee any time on the DL, just some more off days for a couple weeks at least for a while...

Eeeeasy fellas. Cubs are off Thursday anyways, so it amounts to a game and a half missed if he comes back for the Milwaukee series. Opening day in Milwaukee...Brewers vs. Cubs, and the Cubs aren't concerned enough to give him an MRI??? I'm thinking he's going to be fine.

And, of course, the Cubs have a sterling reputation for being forthcoming about injuries... :-o

being examined today in Chicago

this is more like it... i couldn't find a link but read on the CBS fantasy updates that he was going to be checked out, there is no way no matter how dumb the cubs have played many players with their injuries but still this is a top, top catching prospect and they won't take any chances with him... from a fantasy stand point i would be a little more concerned then saying 'oh its nothing' this is his throwing shoulder, he tweaks that and ends up messing up something more then it becomes more then fantasy, it becomes real life where hes not throwing guys out and grabs some pine until hes healthy, which inturn swings back to fantasy with no stats.... i know this is worst case but still it has to be there...
