At least he picked up the win, so not a problem for fantasy owners. He didn't look great in ST. Cito may give some save chances to Downs, but there won't be a permanent shift just yet. The real problem is if Ryan isn't the closer, what role does he fill? Jays brass are just praying he starts to put it together.

I'm hopeful he'll turn it around and rack up 30 saves. He'll need to blow 3 or 4 saves in a row before Cito completely yanks him. BJ might not be available tomorrow... If there's a save op tomorrow night I wouldn't be surprised to see Downs out there.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!
Everyone keeps talking about how his fastball has lost some velocity. He was around 87-90 tonight. I don't know this for sure, but I was always under the impression that his fastball wasn't dominating. I thought he was all about deception. I only see the Jays a couple times a year, when they play the Tigers, so I haven't seen him pitch much at all, but that was the impression I've always had about him. And like I said, that is from reading articles and what not, not from actually watching him. So Blue Jays fans, is that the case, or is his fastball really not the same?
