Top Holds Guys

Lets get a list started. It will be useful for some of us in leagues that count holds. Im also trying to start a list of each team's most likely setup men for this season to project who will get most of the holds chances.

I think Guillermo Mota will be one of the top setup men.

Paul Quantrill should rack up of a good amount (will he definitely be the setup man for mariano rivera?)

yeah, if you are after holds specifically, you really need a guy that you know wont get bumped into the closer slot. guys like:

mota
quantrill
bradford
donnely
worrell
lidge
valverde

guys like hawkins and soriano are too close to getting closing jobs.

There's nothing wrong with getting a guy who might become a closer. It probably raises his value and you could trade him for a better holds guy in that case.

I think Lidge is always overlooked so go with him late if you need one.
