First AB of season he hits a HR off LHP Buerhle to Deeeeep Center... if this guy can figure out lefties this season, breakout year is iminent! Ive already made some ridiculous predictions for him but I strongly believe he could finish in the Top 5 3B. Opinions?

That is such a crappy division maybe the Royals can make a run at it.

yeah, the division is definitely very poor and the royals have a lot of young bats and arms... ya never know... 08 TB and 06 Detroit sure think its possible!

Have him in all of my leagues. I really think he can find his power stroke this year. It was only a couple of years ago that he was supposed to be better than guys like Braun.

He'll get 20 HR and I wouldn't be suprised if he reached 25.

thats exactly it. that sort of hype isnt completely ill-advised. a few post hype sleepers emerge every season, a la carlos quentin. its definitely too early to call but lets hope!

He did the exact same thing last year opening day. Don't get too giddy just yet.

While that may be true, he has another year under his belt now. I know it's the the first game - but he's going to be good.

I think you're thinking of Felipe Lopez, who hit not one, but TWO home runs on opening day, yesterday.
