Maybe package Dye and a SP for an upgrade. I agree you need a step up in the SP category. You are really deep at first if you want an ace for the rotation you could deal there too.
I've talked to one team about an SP, and he asked which I'd ask for in return. His pitchers are:
Jake Peavy, CC Sabathia, Eric Bedard, Rich Harden, Kevin Slowey, Chris Carpenter, Jordan Zimmermann, Ervin Santana for SP Kerry Wood, Chad Qualls, Mike Gonzalez, Jon Rauch, Scott Downs for RP
As far as my 1B situation, what sort of SP could I target with Berkman? Or Berkman and Dye together? I'm thinking if I package them, I should go for an SP and one other...
I'm inclined to re-offer something with Berkman in it.
However, the guy is also trading away K-Rod and said he'd pair any two of Manny, K-Rod, Chone and D-Lee for a fair deal. So, I'm thinking about trading for Manny and K-Rod. What should I offer up? Would Berkman be enough, or would I have to send something else along with it?

If he's willing to do Manny/Chone for Morneau, I'd see if he's just flat out willing to replace Chone with K-Rod. Probably not, and you'll have to sweeten the pot, but that's the way I'd go. I think your starting pitching is fine, but you could definitely use the upgrade at closer. I prefer Berkman over Morneau, so I think you have the best of it right now.
He now says that he doesn't want to move K-Rod unless he's getting a marginal closer back. Basically, I won't be able to get him since my closers suck too much.
He's back to Manny and Chone, and says I could get them for Morneau and Jurrjens.
