Regarding today’s weather and our Opening Day game against the Brewers, please know that we will make every effort to play the game. The Giants have no plans to cancel/postpone the game and urge you to head on out to AT&T Park as planned for a memorable first day of 2009 Giants Baseball!

Sincerely,

San Francisco Giants

The Brewers practically seem like they're conceding this game, going with Suppan on opening day. It's like they're planning on winning 2 of 3 by having Gallardo and Parra line up in more favorable matchups. It's a shame we won't be treated to a Lincecum/Gallardo matchup.

All this rain could work to our favor though...a long delay a few innings in could mean an early exit for Timmy. If Suppan leaves early...oh well. I'd rather have DiFelice or McClung out there anyway most likely.

Anticipated Brewers Lineup:

1. 2B Weeks
2. RF Hart
3. LF Braun
4. 1B Fielder
5. SS Hardy
6. CF Cameron
7. 3B Hall
8. C Kendall
9. P Suppan

Hart's movement to the 2 hole is interesting. It may cut down on his running and RBI opportunities.

Drizzling, regular raining, or pouring? What kind of conditions we looking at here. If the game is played, what besides Lincecum are my guys gonna have to deal with.
