Bonds out with sore back

Scottsdale, AZ (Sports Network) - San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds was kept out of the lineup for Wednesday's spring training game against Texas due to a back injury.

Bonds hurt his back while taking a swing during batting practice. The injury isn't believed to be serious and his status is considered day-to-day.

The 39-year-old Bonds hit .341 with 45 homers and 90 RBI last season when he won his sixth NL MVP award.
