Mortician wrote:Motte should have been out of the inning before sanchez even came up on the 2 strike low outside pitch call that clearly had the corner. Even the Pitchtracker graphic showed it caught plenty of the plate. He got a little rattled after that. Thats the first time he has blown up like that in ST, or his major league career (short as it may be). I'm still keeping him. If this becomes a regular occurrence, then I'll worry.

hmmm like ive never heard that before in the game of baseball that is umped by the human eye peering out from behind a crouched catcher... come on man seriously thats the excuse you have for that? that Pitchtracker showed it was a strike, but the ump, THE UMP a human who can make the slightest of mistakes, didn't call it a strike? lets get on with the fact that ONE pitch didn't make or break Motte's awful sighting in the ninth...

My goodness, do I feel comfortable making that trade to deal Motte. To be able to get players back like Big Puma and Magglio, for an inexperienced closer is always a plus. But, I had to give up Quentin in the deal. Oh well, at least I have Soria and Valverde to support me, even after that blowup. The deal wasn't a knee jerk reaction (it was made a couple of days before the season started), but my oh my, it came in time.

One Game.

It was one game. There's 161 more of them. Do you guys have thousands of moves by the years end? Gotta drop every losing pitcher and batter that an o-fer.
