I'm leaning towards no. I think I want to give him a start and see how he fairs. Any other opinions here?

I'm torn here as well.

On one hand, he didn't look good in his last ST game. He didn't get a lot of innings in ST in general. Since he never got his pitch count up, you have to figure he'll be gone before the 7th inning even if he does pitch well. I assume he's not suffering from injury issues right now, but we can't know for sure until he goes out there.

On the other hand, he's pitching in Minny, which is a great pitcher's park. The Twins weren't as good vs LHP last year, and that's with Mauer teeing off vs LHP (who obviously isn't playing). Bedard can be dominating.

It's probably safer to wait and see, but I'm still tempted to start him. Anyone else have a thought?

I have the exact same feelings. Its very tempting but I don't especially feel like getting my ERA shattered. But I also don't want to be regretting benching him.
