Spot Starters WW. No Escobar

Postby plainyogurt » Mon Apr 06, 2009 9:24 am

Thinking about doing spot starters until escobar comes back, Mix matching good matchups. Which matchups (1 or 2) do you think I should do for today and/or Tomorrow. Thank you

Today Tomorrow
Cook VS ARI Buehrle vs KC
Lannan Vs FLA Wolf VS SD
Saunder VS OAK Lohse Vs PIt
Suppan VS SF

I am thinking either Lannan tonight and/or Wolf, Buehrle, or Lohse due to weak offense, however KC might not be weak anymore..Even Suppan is an option.

Thoughts on two starts. Thank you

Wolf in Petco Park and Lohse against the Pit-iful offense are the standouts of that bunch.

Def. have to do lohse against Pitt...Lanna is pretty good, but with weaker offense in SD, you should do wolf as well. Either one should do good

Agreed on both accounts. Pirates and Padres will be the teams to spot start against this season.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
