10 Team Std Roto 5x5 league. Standard roster, 3 man bench.
How many DL spots is it good to have?
The standard is one DL spot. There seems to be a lot of important players starting off the season on the DL though.
Is two DL spots good/bad/indifferent?
ARod
Suzuki
Upton
Mauer
John Lackey
Scott Baker
etc.

2 DL is fine.
A standard roster is pretty weak with 10 teams. There will be a some good talent on the WW.
I think you should add CI and MI, and probably use 2 UTIL spots. A 4th OF w 1or 2 UTIL spot would also work. I'd also add a few bench spots to a default league.10 teams I'd want to go about 24-25 rounds. When you only draft 200 some players nobody gambles - and they don't have to.
I'd use around 1500 IP as the max IP limit. Most MLB teams throw around 1450 IP. The 1250 default is too small. Don't go much higher than 1500 IP. That becomes a churn fest to hit the IP limit. You don't need to add the extra SP/RP/P position. Just make sure you've added 3-4 bench spots.
