All things being equal I'd draft Lowell before Sweeney.

sweeney can hit 30 HR's. i like him over lowell. lowell isnt that great, he doesnt have a great average and he has never hit over 30 HR apart from last year.

Lowell will probably have better numbers at a more shallow position, he's the easy choice for me. He was the #2 3B behind Pujols last year until he was injured. He had comparable stats to Chavez and Rolen in 25 less games. Factoring in Sweeney's injury risk and the fact that above average 1B's like Sweeney are a dime-a-dozen, and I'd take Lowell in a heart beat.
