This was an autodrafted team, and didn't come out anything like I imagined.
I'm pretty sure I can swing a Sizemore for Reyes trade, but I'm pretty low in the power department and Greene does add some pop. Should I make that trade?
Since this league can make daily lineup changes, I would like to add a lot of middle relievers (for the ratios) and some good bench hitters who can qualify in a few different spots (for the off-days). This is the first time I'm playing on ESPN.com though. I'm used to Yahoo where players qualify for positions in much fewer games. Any suggestions on who to go for?
TIA
Looking forward to back to back championships in 2011!
I don't think that you should make that trade. Size has power and speed, but Reyes is just mainly speed, then you would be losing Greene as well?! I don't like that for you at all. The auto draft did a lot better than I have normally seen. Consider yourself lucky that you didn't end up with 6 hitters on your bench like many across the nation.
I like the idea of a trade for Reyes. I like Greene to have a very good year, but Reyes is a sure thing and the fact that you'll have Upton back in a week gives you great flexibility at OF. Overall not bad for an autodraft. Good ranking job.
The guy I'm dealing with is a big-time Yankees fan & Mets hater. He had the 4th pick in the draft and I am pretty sure he wanted Sizemore. This is the first time we're using ESPN.com fantasy and he's not the most computer savvy guy. I think he had trouble figuring out how to pre-rank players.
Maybe I can expand the deal. I don't think he's got another SS on his roster. Maybe I can expand the Reyes/Sizemore deal to include Greene for him and a RP I sorely need.

Knowing nothing, it sounds like a great deal. However, if you get Reyes you'll have a glut at SBs. If you can then turn that surplus into some power, you'll be golden.
What about Sizemore for an Utley type+upgrade at SS? I know the deal's not on the table but it would sure up some of your weaknesses and not really hurt you that much.
I wouldn't be in a hurry to write off greene just yet. If the resurgence is as billed, he could provide average and runs
What I would do, since you appear to be solid in everything but the power stats, is sell high on granderson and milledge to get yourself a power hitting upgrade at 1b.
Maybe you could look for a dunn or pena along with a rookie or sleeper or just go for one guy who gives you better all around numbers
