per CBS
News: Nationals OF Elijah Dukes, batting only .212 (11-for-52) with one home run this spring, has lost the starting job in right field to Austin Kearns, according to the Washington Post.

I was kinda counting on this guy in a 16 team league... I liked his production last year even with his the bit injures he got.

I wouldn't drop him just yet, I have a feeling he'll find his way into that line up on a regular basis, it just might take some time

I'm stashing him on my bench until further notice, I don't see Kearns keeping his spot and I think the Nationals will trade one of their outfielders for some pitching

So... if you can afford putting him on your bench and waiting it out for awhile...
For every Brett Myers there's a Nate McLouth...

Don't worry, Austin Kearns will crap out soon enough.

I think they are just showcasing Kearns. for the inevitable trade (they dont wanna trade Dukes). if u can hold onto Dukies I would, but not for that long. he was borderline roster worthy in a 10 team or small bench league as it is.

I think it will eventually pan out with Dukes. I'm kinda stuck with him anyway since I extended his contract by 1 yr after getting him off waivers in 2008. If I drop him I take albeit small salary cap hit.

the best FA OFs in my league are Jeff Francoeur, Luke Scott, Marlon Byrd,
should I replace Dukes with any of them?

I like Francouer for a good bounce back year. I'd go with him over any of the rest.

I agree with this assessment: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/kicking-hope-in-the-groin

You could rename that article "Kicking my Fantasy Teams in Carmaluccchies"

Combine this with the benching of Justin Upton and it makes you wonder what the hell the managers are thinking by not playing their best players.
