Bill James projections for Eric Chavez

Bill James is calling for Chavez to get 555 AB's this season with 143 hits, 25 HR's, 80 R's and 87 RBI's. Does he know something the rest of us don't?

I don't believe he takes PT into his projections. Chavy would easily put up those numbers in a full season.

Exactly, that line would only be Erics 7th best year. The only eye popping projection up there is the 555 ABs...

and I don't think James actually do the James projection, and that projection system is almost always the optimistic one.
