Extra Pitcher: SP or RP?

Postby mozart24 » Sun Apr 05, 2009 2:12 pm

Our league starts 5 SP and 4 RPs. We have a thin bench, but I want to stow away an extra arm. Is it a better idea to store an SP or an RP? It's a 9-team mixed roto, with standard cats, except Saves/Holds instead of saves.

Right now I'm using the extra spot for an RP, Matt Lindstrom. Would I be better off with a 6th starter, say, Hiroki Kuroda?

Thanks, I'll return help.

I always like to have more starters than relievers on my bench and think Kuroda would be a nice addition to your lineup. He is going to have a nice year.

thanks for your help with mine

In this instance, I much prefer Kuroda over Lindstrom, if for nothing else than job security and health factor...

I agree w/ the above post. SP are always better than RP. I'd grab Kuroda and give him a try for a while.
