Hammel isn't very good in relief. He has some good games last year, but anytime there was pressure he seemed to pitch terribly. He wasn't bad as a starter, but I don't think he is very good. I am glad they kept Niemann
Hammel could be a decent bullpen arm as he does have 2 decent pitches most nights. I wouldn't trust him or want him to have to start 30 games a year for a team though.
