12 Team Yahoo! 6x6 Roto. Standard 5 cats except we use Net Steals and Net Saves + TB's and losses.

Batters
C: Pablo Sandoval (C,1B,3B)
1B: Joey Votto (1B)
2B: Chase Utley (2B)
3B: Miguel Cabrera (1B,3B)
SS: Jimmy Rollins (SS)
CI: Paul Konerko (1B)
MI: Khalil Greene (SS)
OF: Matt Kemp (OF), Nick Markakis (OF), Johnny Damon (OF)
Util: Justin Upton (OF), Travis Snider (OF)
BN: Mark Teahen (1B,3B,OF) Todd Helton

Pitchers
SP: Chad Billingsley (SP) Yovani Gallardo (SP)
RP: Joakim Soria (RP), Chris Ray (RP)
P: Kevin Slowey (SP), Erik Bedard (SP), Jason Motte (RP)
BN: Zack Greinke (SP), Paul Maholm (SP), Chris Volstad (SP),

So I was offered Peavy and Adam Jones for Markakis. I just traded King Felix and Stephen Drew for Rollins (do you think that was a good trade?) and now I have a hole in my pitching. Can I afford to do this trade for peavy or does it thin out my outfield too much?

The Rollins trade was a steal. Nice work :)

I would hang on to Markakis to start the year as I like your pitching already. Bills and Gallardo should anchor your staff then you have a few solid upside guys in Grienke and Slowey. If Bedard gets back to his 2007 form you'll be in really nice shape.

Thanks man. I'm just a tad worried because people in my league tend to go overboard with pitching. As solid as it is it can't compete with someone who has Johan/Webb/Oswalt as there three, or something to that effect.

if you take 2 your going to have to drop someone. maybe Helton?

i do like the value of Peavy/Jones over Markakis. Jones could really be good this season. i would expect atleast 15/15 with potential for 20/20. in 2007 at AAA he had 25 HR. the only question is will he steal enough, and he allready has 7 SB in the spring without getting caught. hes going to be batting 2nd between Roberts and Markakis, so he sould do well in R/RBI. i like him this season.

help?

I was thinking about who to drop too. I really like Helton as a sleeper this year. He's healthy and has like a 1.600 OPS in ST. I was thinking I'd drop Volstad but that may be unwise. Anyone else have an opinion on this trade, and who to drop if anyone?

That's a tough one you've got there. I think your OF looks great with Markakis in there. However, its tough to ignore Peavy and Adam Jones in a keeper aint too shabby either. It's really close for me, but I'd probably keep Markakis. You would have to drop another guy, and like you said, you expect things out of Helton (I do too), so it's probably not worth it.

Help me out man?

The value is definitely there...Peavy could easily be a top 3 pitcher in the league and Jones can go 20/20 just like Markakis.

I would do the deal and take Peavy and Jones. Markakis is great but Jones has great upside and Peavy is an ace. I would do it.

please help
