I was offered Upton for Kemp in a 10 team roto, non-keeper league.
My team has alot of power and I could pry use a little extra help in the stolen base department.
Should I make the trade for the possibility of Upton stealing more bases?
Also, how will Upton being named leadoff hitter affect his value?
Thanks

I would do it, but I'm a big fan of Upton. He's out for the first few games, but I like Upton at leadoff versus Kemp hitting in the back half of the Dodgers lineup. Upton should see more SB opportunities and greater run production at the top of that order but fewer RBIs. You said your team had plenty of power and needed steals, so this is a great deal for you. Take it and run!

I would do it. Upton is better overall value than Kemp and will definitely get you more SB.

I'll agree that you should take Upton. Kemp himself will probably see a decrease in SB this year.

Upton's wheels set him ahead of Kemp.
