With AROD on the DL I have an open spot on my team. Looking to add a hitter. Also should I drop Lastings?
Players on the WW:
C- Matt Wieters (I'll be keeping an eye on him all year)
OF - Chris Young
OF - Carlos Gomez
SS - Miguel Tejada
OF - Milton Bradley
OF - Hideki Matsui
OF - Jeremy Hermida
1b - Jason Giambi (Very tempting)
UTIL - Travis Hafner (Same as above)
With my lineup as is now, I'm afraid I'll be a lil short on HR's. Would Giambi be the right add?
C - Jorge Posada
1b - Albert Pujols
2b - Ricki Weeks
3b - Chipper Jones
SS - Michael Young
OF - Vladamir Guerrero
OF - Raul Ibanez
OF - Jacoby Ellsbury
Util - Lastings Milledge
DL - Alex Rodriguez
SP - Josh Beckett
SP - CC Sabathia
RP - Bobby Jenks
RP - Jonathon Broxton
P - Matt Lindstrom
P - Javier Lopez
P - Joba Chamberlain
BN Chris Young
BN Chris Carpenter
BN Edinson Volquez
BN Matt Cain

I was gonna say weiters...but with just 2 keepers he's unlikely to make the cut. But - if he pans out, and comes up soonish - he would likely be an upgrade at catcher....all the other guys you mentioned would just wind up as backups. Might take the flyer on weiters anyways...
Help with mine?

I would pick up Milton Bradley over Giambi. Also, why do you have Javier Lopez rostered??
I would drop him and stash wieters.

I think you need the most help at SS or 2B. Maybe add tejada or a 2B/SS eligible player off the wire.

one more vote here for bradley over giambi, though chris young has been mighty hot this spring and then you'd have two chris youngs on your team, which would be awesome. and he should be good for both HR and steals.

i would pick Chris Young.
im not sold on Giambi in OAK. he could have some good HR. everyone talks about how Holliday is going to suffer going to OAK but so will Giambi. hes going to end up with a weak AVG and no speed.
id pass on Bradley. he has to play all the time in the OF. hes a big injury risk.
Young is going to be hitting either 2nd or 3rd for Arizona (likely 2nd) and i expect him to return to his 2007 numbers. his AVG might be weak like Giambi but he offers HR and SB. i dont think its a long shot for Young to get his AVG up closer to .265+ rage which would make him alot more valuable.
help?

Giambi is the right move for home runs. What, you don't expect Bradley to repeat his career year and stay healthy again right? I would drop Chris Young. And pick up Wieters for Lopez if you want.
