how do you replace A-Rod?

Postby Lsquad » Sun Apr 05, 2009 12:15 pm

Just put A-Rod on thre DL (what took so long?), and now I get to fill that spot. here are the options I'm looking at:

SP
Harang
R. Johnson
Kershaw

My SPs are: Haren, Billingsley, Hernandez, Kazmir, Vazquez, Gallardo, and Grienke
or

OF
Span
a. Jones
Choo
Dukes

My OFs are: Rios, Ellsbury, C. Young, and J. Upton (start 3)

I'm a little bit concerned about having two OFs from the same team, and about Young's average and K's (which count in my league).

I'm leaning towards Johnson, but the concensus of Fantasy publications rate Harang much higher. I know he finished the season well, but I just love Johnson's potential in Pac Bell/SBC/AT&T Park. am I over thinking this? who would you pick up?

How shallow is this league? 10 teamer?

I'd say Dukes or Harang, but you can't go wrong with Johnson or Kershaw either.

I think you are already sitting pretty good with SP's. I would probably take a chance on Choo or Jones....

Yeah, it's ten teams, so theres alot of non-rostered quality. I do like dukes allot, but I've been wary of owning too many bench hitters, esp. Since I have wieters clogging one of those spots.

pass on Dukes. i read that Willingham will be starting in RF for Washington so Dukes isnt even starting.
your good at SP, but Johnson could be really nice.
if you want an OF i would go with Adam Jones. hes going to be batting 2nd for Baltimore between Roberts and Markakis. i think hes safe to go 15/15 with 20/20 a possibility.
you could take Johnson and then trade one of your other SP if you think you could get a better OF than Jones in a trade for one of your other SP.
