Trade fuentes/Cordero

Postby plainyogurt » Sun Apr 05, 2009 6:49 am

I have Valverde, Hanrahan, Vallinueva, rodney, cordero and fuentes as closer in a 5x5 standard league.

I have been reading up on the status of fuentes and cordero. Fuentes velocity is down but it is said the angels will stick with him and cordero has been sucking this spring.

Been talking trade with another manager. It is either I send Cordero for Vernon Wells, or Fuentes.
I am trying to push a burrell or Dunn and cordero for Magglio or Vlad.

Should i trade fuentes or cordero when i can before its too late or is it all premature?

I wouldn't do any of that. Vernon Wells is bad. Ordonez and Vlad are overrated now, and especially wouldn't be worth Dunn.

Here is my roster 5x5 standard league.

SP: Matsusaka, Wainwright, Carpenter, Lilly, Escobar
Rp: Valverde, Fuentes, F Cordero, Hanrahan, rodney, villenuava
C: Pierznski
1st: Miguel Cabrera
2nd: alexie Ramirez
3rd: Youkilis
SS:Tulowitzki
MI:Orlando Cabrera
CI:Berkman
Util: Fielder
Of: Elsbury, Dunn, nelson Cruz, Carlos Gomez, Burrell

Bench: Laroche, Glaus ,Jose Guillen, Cassilla

By trading Burrell and a closer Vlad, magglio or maybe bradley will be done for AVG.. Having Gomez, Burrell and Dunn in my everyday lineup will kill my AVG. I will settle for 10 homers less and gain 50 points in AVG..That is what I am thinking.

Any more advice

If you could trade Burrell and a closer for Vlad then maybe that would be good then.

i would keep both cordero and fuentes and keep an eye on arrendondo

as far as trying to get VLAD, i would offer a different RP because the ones your are trying to get rid off, along with valverde, are the most stable of the bunch and VLAD isnt the same player of 2 years ago and has significant injury concern
