im in an 18 team h2h points based Keeper league on CBS...

Point system:

Ls - -4
No Hitter - 20
Perfect Game - 30
Pick Offs - 1

heres the squad what do you think?
C- Geovany Soto
1B- James Loney
2B- Brian Roberts
3B- Garrett Atkins
SS- Michael Young
OF- Carl Crawford
OF- Conor Jackson
OF- Lastings Milledge
U- Pablo Sandoval
Reserves: Travis Ishikawa, Chone Figgins, Ryan Theriot, Danial Murphy, Gordon Beckham

SP- Ryan Dempster
SP- Daisuke Matsuzaka
SP- Manny Parra
SP- Anthony Reyes
SP- Jonathan Sanchez
RP- Jonathan Papelbon
Reserves: Tevor Cahill, Kelvim Escobar, Tommy Hanson

some guys im thinking about adding:
BATS: Emmanuel Burriss, Emilio Bonifacio, Gary Sheffield, Willy Taveras, Garret Anderson, Scott Rolen, Chris Duncan
ARMS: Ben Sheets (someone has to give him a chance right?), Doug Davis, Joel Pineiro, Ross Ohlendorf, Ricky Romero

Definitely looking to add Sheffield for Beckham, but odds are im too far down the waiver line to have a shot at him, so looking for a couple other options, maybe Taveras for SB (but then again i have Figgins for that), Bonifacio (but how real will this kid be?), Burriss is he gonna produce enough to stay in the lineup?

or should i just stand pat?

Bonafacio for Theriot, easy choice.

I'd package Soto/Sjax for a small OF upgrade (maybe to Rios or Markakis) then move Sandoval to catcher. With that free spot I'd add Tavares.

If its not a keeper dump Beckham for Sheffield. Since you have Murphy that will bea nice small handcuff. YOu could use the power as well. He's looked solid if he can stay healthy.

You don't really need Tavares though you could use some speed. Why not deal Figgins to someone for a power bat. I'd take a Dunn for him if you can get that done.

you have that much confidence in Sandoval? i think hes a great young player thats why i took him, but to deal a huge Soto and start Sandoval you think? it is a Keeper league tho keep 5 year to year so odds are unless Gordon absolutely goes CRAZY he won't be a keeper this year...

I picked up Danny Murphy yesterday. Alot of doubles in Citi will bat 2nd. His manager loves him. Better than Millage. Sorry, I didn't notice you had Murphy. Are Spilboughs or Teahan availble ?

ok agreed, but that wasn't even the question, i already own Murphy, was asking if any of the other players i listed were worth a shot over say Gordon Beckham...

I would stay pat. If you are looking for another arm, I would pick up Joel Pineiro or Ross Ohlendorf. I really do not like any of the hitters available, not even sheffield. Steals seam useless in your scoring system, so I would stay away from taveras.

Duncan is a bit better than Sheffield at this point, but neither are must-adds and you have a deep enough bench to keep Gordon there in case he is called up to the Show. None of that pitching is enticing at all.
