Alright my this is my first fantasy baseball draft ever. Mind rating it?

3b- Garrett Atkins
SS- Rafeal Furcal
2B/SS- Jhonny Peralta
1B/3B- Jorge Cantu
OF- Matt Holliday
OF- Vladimir Guerrero
OF- Magglio Ordonez
OF- Nelson Cruz
OF- Hideki Matsui
UTIL -Travis Ishikawa (OF)
Bench OF- Jeff Francoeur
Bench SS- Erick Aybar

Pitching

P- Chad Billingsley
P- Carlos Zambrano
P- Carlos Marmol
P- Chris Carpenter
P- Mike Gonzalez
P- Jason Motte
P- Joe Saunders

I'm thinking my pitching is a little suspect but my hitters are pretty dominant. Agree disagree?

Not bad for a first draft. I would say that you are weak on Speed in the hitting department. Billingsly is good enough to be a #1 for you, but you may want to get someone who is a little more consistent while Santana is on the DL since you have guys like Carpenter and Zam who have been known to be streaky. I would drop Francoeur for a guy like Coco Crisp for speed. You already have a power driven offense you don't need a guy like Francoeur. If you don't want to drop him then trade him (I don't think that you'll get that much for him though). I love frenchy, but not in fantasy right now.

welcome to the cafe!

is this roto or h2h? what is the league format? that sort of info can help validate your statement. without that info, i could argue with the above statement, as you appear to be a bit light on stolen bases.

if francouer returns to form, then you have a some OF depth to trade from. Zambrano's salad days are behind him, and carpenter will spend time on the DL (its written in stone somewhere).

I'd try to either a) address your lack of depth at SP, or b) find a 5th outfielder with legs (i'd rather a Span or Crisp or Gomez over Matsui)

overall, nicely drafted ;-D
