I'm thinking about dropping M. Aviles and picking up one of these guys... I prefer Hanson b/c I'm a Bravos fan. I think he will be up if Glavine gets hurt or just after June 1.
What is everyone's opinion? If you can think of any other rookie SP's, please list them and maybe tell me something about them. Please keep in mine when they might get called up or if they are already up and what type of impact they might have. Did they have a good spring? etc.
Kenshin Kawakami (Atl - SP) - he's kind of a rookie
Tommy Hanson (Atl - SP) - I'm a Brave's fan, so I wanna pick him up
Jordan Zimmermann (Was - SP) - don't know anything about him
Brett Anderson (Oak - SP) - don't know anything about him
Trevor Cahill (Oak - SP) - don't know anything about him

KK will be good for innings and a fair ERA, a few wins (9-12?) but thats about it.
Hanson would be a no-brainer if you are in a keeper league. He may not do you any good until June or July.
The 2 A's pitchers a re so young I'd stay away for now...wait and see.
If I had to choose: KK.

I'd go with KK. Did well in spring training and Atlanta does wonders for it's pitchers. Plus, he'll probably do above average his first time around the league until they figure him out. Hanson would be awesome if you're in a keeper league, but otherwise I'd go with one of the guys pitching now. Zimmerman should do quite well but he's jumping from Double A and won't get many wins playing for Washington. He had a good K/BB ratio in the minors though. Of the A's pitchers I'd take Cahill. Lots of upside there, but being they are rookies there will be some inconsistency. I'd go with KK.

I take Zimmerman for strikeout potential, followed by Kawakami for experience and Porcello for his high ceiling (he is the best keeper).
