OK, we keep up to five players and then there is an "expansion draft" for those that didnt keep 5. Well, after SEVERAL trades and swapping picks, I have ended up with 3 picks in the expansion draft (which equal the #52, 56, 58 players overall). I have already kept Howard, Hamilton, Soriano, and Kemp.
What should I be looking to do with these expansion picks? If you were me, what you be happy with coming out of the expansion draft with?
Top 5 hitters available based on our format: -Roberts -Martin -Rios -McCann -Victorino
Top 5 Pitchers: -Hamels -Papelbon -Liriano -Nathan -Billingsly
I'm in a 12 team, H2H league, with the following cats: R/HR/RBI/SB/AVG/OBS/SLUG for batters and W/SV/K/ERA/WHIP/Kper9/TB
We start: C-1B-2B-3B-SS-OF-OF-OF-UTL-UTL SP-SP-RP-RP-P-P-P-P (40 IP min each week) 5 BENCH SPOTS

Power Hitters that I really like that are available:
-Chris Davis -McLouth -Dye -Magglio -Dunn
My entire league thinks Im taking Alexei because of the trade to move me to this spot. I am strongly considering taking Chris Davis #1 becuase of his keeper potential, power potential, and his both 1B and 3B eligibility. Am I missing something not taking Alexei here, or should I look elsewhere then either Davis or Alexei?
Davis (and Dunn) should be excellent in this format because the two extra categories of Total bases and OPS favor the big hitters IMO. Plus being in a head to head you can focus more on power because you don't absolutely need huge amounts of steals like you do in roto. I'd catch at least one of them or maybe two with the best pitcher on board.
