Hamilton for Quentin/Others...WHIR

Postby pelvis_kick » Sat Apr 04, 2009 4:58 am

Here's the deal. It is a H2H yahoo league. 8-teams keeper. You keep one player at each positions, but no UTIL keeper, however you play 2 UTILs throughout the year. I am being offered my Hamilton (by a guy who really likes him and has him in another league we are in together) for his Carlos Quentin. I would also get either A) Jacoby Ellsbury or B)Shane Victorino and Adrian Beltre. I would also give up my third round pick next year. (Nothing crazy since we will keep 8 hitters/7 pitchers).
Offensive Cats: R, H, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, K, TB, E, AVG, OPS
Pitching Stats: W, L, CG, SV, BB, K, GIDP, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, K/9, H/9, QS, BSV
(tons of cats, I know, not a fan.)

My team:
C - V-Mart
1b - A-Gon
2b - Kinsler
SS - S. Drew
3B - Chris Davis
OF - Manny
OF - Hamilton
OF - BJ Upton
UT - Chipper Jones
UT - David Ortiz
BN - Corey Hart
BN - Weiters
BN - Milledge
BN - Jay Bruce
BN - Felipe Lopez(we update daily, only backup at a few spots)

SP - Bills
SP - Kazmir
RP - Morrow
RP - Joba
P - Bedard
P - Capps
P - Volquez
BN - Qualls
BN - Lindstrom
BN - Oliver Perez
BN - Greinke
BN - Smoltz (gonna stash, 3 DL spots)
DL - Hoffman

Leave a link, WHIR.

Quentin and Hamilton have each only done it once, so that is good value for you with Ellsbury.

With Ellsbury, very good deal indeed. The speed helps your team immensly.

On the surface it looks like a nice deal, but dude you have 6 good OFs as it is, Ortiz can only play at DH, you're not gonna sit Chipper, Davis is a stud so he'll be in your lineup, where the hell do ya think Ellsbury is gonna play when you have 5 spots for 8 guys. Pass :-t
