He's going to be #3 in a pretty young rotation down there in Florida. He had a pretty good go of it last year, albeit in only 15 or so starts. People around here don't seem to be too high on him. When does he begin to have fantasy relevance...in a 10-teamer, 12-teamer, 14?

I see people passing him up for Brad Penny and the like, and I just wonder if I'm missing something with this guy...

I'm not a fan. He might be better in real life than fantasy because of the low K/9 and the that ratio alone almost kills his fantasy value. Don't be fooled by the ERA below 3 he posted last year after being called up.

I'll take any other starter for the Marlins before Volstad. At least Andrew Miller has upside. ;-)

180 IP, 10 W, 4.10 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, 105 K

Gimme the upside of a Jorge de la Rosa any day. %-6

He is in a nice situation, at least until 2012, when the marlins get their new stadium. Volstad's a heavy sinkerballer in a very large stadium. Always makes a good combination... Results could be better than you think. However, it doesn't help when you have a groundball pitcher and Dan Uggla is your 2B. Thats not a good combo.

He is a nice 7th, or 8th starter with upside in a 12 teamer H2H. Dont mess with him in Roto. Low K/9, and bad IP/W is a killer.

I really really like Josh Johnson this year. Volstad not so much. I have my eye on him to spot start him. If he has a year like last year I might pick him up and drop him 2 or 3 times.
