Trade Catcher for SS? WHIR!

Postby livinginarizona » Sat Apr 04, 2009 12:03 am

Would you trade Mike Napoli for Khalil Greene straight-up? Both teams have the need(one needs a catcher, the other needs a backup SS), and each have an excess at the position.

I'd rather have Napoli IMO.

Take Napoli. Greene has and always will be a bum.

Jeez, this trade depends entirely on what you have and what you need.

I like Pudge who might be on FA better than Napoli who apparently will be splitting time.
Still, if you need a SS, you can do worse than Greene this year.

And, you can check the FA for a SS too such as Burriss, Andrus, and F. Lopez.

Napoli as a starting C > Greene as a backup SS.

i agree with above. if you can get felipe lopez off waivers, i'd rather have him than greene for sure. i think escobar (braves) could be a good option too. it depends on what you need really. if you don't want napoli and really need an IF, then you could do it. but i'd check other available options first.
