Time to drop F Cordero???

Postby SonsofSlam04 » Fri Apr 03, 2009 11:00 pm

I am starting to worry about F Cordero... We start 2 Closers a week, the 3 closers on my team are as follows: F Cordero, J Motte and C Qualls... Free Agent Closers are as follows: Frank Francisco, H Bell, Hanrahan and C Ray....Should I drop Cordero and pick up one of the closers? If so which one?

Leave your posts ...I will answer as many as I can get to .. Thanks again

Spring means very little, there is no way i'd be dropping a guy that saved 30+ games last year
because of a rough spring..

I wouldn't drop FCord for any of those guys as of yet. He was battling through an ankle injury this spring so hopefully once that's under control he gets back to his old self. Still his track record and job security have him over those options for now.

I own him also and I can see where you are coming from. I thought he played well last year only when it was a save situation. Every time they threw him out there just "to get some work in" he got lit up. I'm not dropping him yet, his job is still pretty safe. I might look at grabbing Frank Francisco if I was shooting for one of those other guys.

Frank Francisco is maybe a little bit better for strikeouts, so I'd add him.
