This is what it said in the Journal Sentinel:
Slow go for Hoffman: Closer Trevor Hoffman (oblique strain) isn't eligible to come off the disabled list until April 11. But he'll have to make considerable progress over the coming days to make it back even close to that date.
Hoffman continues to play catch but no timetable has been set to resume bullpen sessions. Once he gets to that stage, Hoffman probably will have to face hitters, either in simulated action or minor-league games, before rejoining the Brewers.
"We know nothing's going to happen before the 11th, so that takes the pressure off to rush things," Hoffman said. "You can't really put a target date on it until I start throwing off the mound.
"The key thing is, you don't want to go through this again. Let's get it done with and move forward."
General manager Doug Melvin said there was no way of knowing when Hoffman might be activated but added, "He won't need a lot of time to get ready (once he is able to pitch)."
I don't know about missing most of the month.
"I feel the need. The need for speed!"
