Yes, he will decide to hit 11 more homers than he ever has, just for the hell of it. Not to mention maintain a career high of steals.

i think he's a 30/40 threat, but 40/40 would be pushing it.

either way, iiiiiii'd take it.

I can't understand why everyone thinks Beltran is some kind of huge power threat...He's never even hit 30 HR's before and everyone is ready to give him a 40/40 season...The Royals are my favorite team and Beltran is one helluva player...but let's try to keep things realistic...

30-30 isn't chopped liver, 40-40 is very elusive

Isn't KC one of the places they moved the fences back? I could be wrong but I thing his HR will fall this year.

I agree with what most of the people have said so far; 40 hr and 40 steals is a reach.

It should be noted that Beltran only played 85% of the season last year and he is only turning 27.

If he would have played in 10% more games last year (a rough estimate of the games he missed with that April oblique injury), he would have hit 4 more home runs and stolen 7 more bases, given his respective rates in each category. That would have amounted to a total of 30 Hr and 48 steals.

Add in a few extra steals and Hrs because he could be at his peak in 2004 and a 35/35 stat line is well within reach.
