Does Murphy's production and playing time drop with Sheff in town. If so, how much?

i say no, check out the topic just for Sheffield to read more about it, but i see Sheff playing on off days and such... now Murphy begins to struggle or has the slightest injury to open the door and Sheff produces in that small time then yes you have bad news on your hands, until then i say no...

I don't think so. WFAN kept on reporting that Omar Minaya stated that Sheff would be playing RF, not LF. Also, they emphasized that Jerry Manuel loves Murphy, which means Church is going to be hurt most be this. We'll have to see how it plays out but that's the word in NY.

Mets LOVE Murphy - he will have every chance to suceed - the Mets need a rh bat, i don't fully understand the move - don't love it as a mets fan, but if Murphy is gonna do what everyone thinks he will, the Sheff will not mess things up in that regards...
