Gallardo, I dont believe in Lilly, and Gallardo looked just plain SICK before his injury last year.

I look for Gallardo to take a big step this year and cash in on his potential. Lilly is solid but he pretty much is what he is.

Wins are a very shallow stat. I tend to disregard them when comparing pitchers. If you're overvaluing Lilly due to his wins it's a big mistake imo.

With Lilly you know what you will get. 15-17W, 180 K, 3.90 ERA, 1.20 WHIP.

Gallardo has a higher ceiling, but comes with some risk.

If you need to gamble a little, go with Gallardo. If not, Lilly is not a bad choice.

good luck

Gallardo.

That being said I don't believe they are being drafted in the same neighborhood. I dont' have my ADP/MDP sheets in front of me, so i could be way off. O:-)

If you draft Gallardo as an up and coming ace, something akin to where lincecum went last year (rd 8 or so) then that is good value IMHO. Lilly should go well after round 10, i would think... which is also good value.

I'd go with Gallardo. Lilly is solid and I think he pitches in solid ratios and about 170-180 K, but I'd take a gamble on Gallardo breaking out in full.
