Roster Review WHIR

So I just finished drafting for my keeper league that I entered. This is my first Rotissere (spelling?) league so any help would be great. My lineup looks like the following:

P: Micah Owings
P: Fausto Carmona
P: Derek Lowe
P: Troy Percival
P: Clayton Kershaw
P: Roy Halladay
P: Chris Volstad
P: Johnny Cueto
P: Kerry Wood
P: Mark Buerhle
Bench: Ken Griffey Jr.
Bench: Jeremy Hermida
Bench: Lyle Overbay
Bench: Kelvim Escobar
Bench: Cristian Guzman

Yes, we start that many guys. The categories are Batting Average, Home Runs, Runs, RBI, stolen bases, Wins, K's, Saves, ERA and WHIP

Like I said before, please give me some feedback on what's good and what still needs to improve. It's my first league like this.

I like your hitters, pretty good balance there. Your starting pitchers have some weak spots, though. Owings didn't pitch well last year, and now he's in the major's preeminent bandbox. Buehrle and Carmona are decent (IF Carmona can return to form), but each is a low-k pitcher, which will hurt you in roto (=rotisserie...close) leagues, where there's typically an innings/starts limit. Halladay, Volstad, Cueto are all good picks, and I like Escobar as an injury sleeper.

I'm not saying drop them immediately, but you shouldn't be too hesitant to drop Griffey, Overbay, and Guzman when there's an intriguing player on the wire.

Yeah I completely agree with you on not hesitating on dropping those players for a quality guy on the wire.

Owings was definitely a later round pick but from what I've seen from spring training I'm hoping he'll pan out better than he did last year. I agree that he didn't do so hot but I had to take a flyer.

I'm not expecting much from Todd Helton. In fact I think he went undrafted in my league. I would probably slide Overbay into his spot there.

Also, I'll echo the previous poster's concerns on Owings (unless you can keep his batting stats ). You should probably bench him just to see how he starts the season.
