i've got an offer on the table, kevin brown for sosa. it was offered to me and i'm leaning towards no because i'm not convinced that kevin brown is 75%+ to go 200 innings, not only that but i'm not convinced that i have a 35/100 lock like sosa on the bench or yet in the pipeline.

what do you think?

I agree: I'd also turn this offer down. I do think you should pick up another starter or two, though. If you can deal one of your bench OFs, so much the better, but you might wind up having to drop someone to make a pickup. You have a great bullpen for taking advantage of daily lineup changes, but you'll need a bit more pitching depth to take full advantage.
